Empire Outlets is New York’s newest destination for shopping, dining, and fun! This unique outlet retail center, located on Staten Island just a short ferry ride away, offers visitors their favorite brands for less. Now Empire Outlets will transport you and your family to a new world with Virtual Rush: New York, a new virtual reality experience.

Virtual Rush, located amidst retail stores like Nordstrom Rack, Gap Factory Store, and Levi’s Outlet, is a must for any adventurous shopper. The state-of-the-art ride takes you underwater, through the air, and into outer space. You can even ride with the crew of Apollo 11 astronauts who first landed on the moon!

Virtual Rush was developed by Pulseworks, a company with other immersive experiences at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, Space Center Houston, and the Navy Pier in Chicago. They’ve designed the Virtual Rush experience as a seated first-person adventure where you’ll get to explore a brand-new environment through a special headset.

Empire Outlets is the first and only center of its kind in New York City. The new outlet mall is located adjacent to St. George Ferry Terminal, the dock for the Staten Island Ferry. The ferry runs 24/7 and is always free. Brands like Guess, American Eagle, Old Navy Factory Store, and more have retail stores at Empire Outlets, where you’ll also find dining options like Shake Shack and Starbucks.

Virtual Rush: New York is located on Level 3 of Empire Outlets at Royal Square. Nearby you’ll find Gap Factory Store, H&M, Nike Factory Store, and Banana Republic Factory Store. The virtual reality experience is open now!
