There is an Outlet Mall in Staten Island

T2c traveled to New York City’s first-ever outlet destination, Empire Outlets to discover what was there. This world-class shopping center is home to approximately 100 waterfront shops, unique dining concepts over 340,000 square feet and elegant and modern design that provides visitors with breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.

We took the Staten Island Ferry, a relaxing 20-minute boat ride. The free Staten Island Ferry runs 365 days a year including holidays on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independent Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. In addition, Empire Outlets hosts an expansive parking lot which will brings guests from all over the region.

Here you can find Nordstrom Rack, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Banana Republic, Levi’s, Old Navy, Samsonite, H&M, Nike, Gap Factory,Columbia Sporting Goods, Crocs, G.H. Bass and Co. and U.S. Polo offering their lowest prices to shoppers.

With a 12,723 square foot outdoor dining space called MRKTPL, more than 30 diverse and unique concepts along with a 500-person beer garden. Wasabi, an upscale sushi and hibachi restaurant, will also open at Empire Outlets as a unique table side dining experience where every table is a chef’s table. Empire Outlets will also be home to New York City staples like Mamoun’s Falafel and Shake Shack, as well as Haagen-Dazs, Wetzel’sPretzels and many more.

There is also an adorable seating section with tulip seats.

The mall offers fabulous views of Manhattan.

Empire Outlets will also feature a variety of amenities on-site including:

• “Virtual Rush: New York,” which is a virtual reality adventure that will include a simulation of the historic Apollo 11 mission launch created by Pulseworks, an industry leader in immersive entertainment that has installed similar attractions at major national destinations including the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum, Space Center Houston and Navy Pier in Chicago. Virtual Rush: New York will open in August 2019.

• FlyingTee, the next generation of active entertainment, will feature a flagship TEE SUITE at Empire Outlets and will debut in 2020. The 22,000 square-foot TEE SUITE provides the most accurate tracking for serious golfers and the ability to virtually play championship courses including Pebble Beach and St. Andrews, while opening the door to all skill levels and newcomers to the sport with in-bay games like Darts, Blackjack and Horse.

During the summer cast members from Beetlejuice and Chicago, performed at Empire Outlets. In addition to the performances, the Broadway in the Boros event features Broadway ticket giveaways, trivia games, and more! Broadway in the Boros emcee is the infamous Julie James, host of the popular SiriusXM Radio show “On Broadway.”

It was a rainy day, but there was a rainbow at the end of our shopping.
